PlatiMon VC Speakers – Vertical Coherence in Perfection

    Overview

The PlatiMon VC Speakers MK2 represent the full realization of Mon Acoustic’s modular reference architecture — now refined into a unified, high-performance floorstanding loudspeaker system.

Extending from 38 Hz to 35,000 Hz, with a 4-ohm nominal impedance and 90 dB sensitivity, the MK2 delivers improved amplifier compatibility, enhanced micro-resolution, and a newly elevated sense of transparency.

This is not merely an update in specification.
It is a transformation in musical articulation.

    A Fully Integrated Vertical System

The PlatiMon VC Speakers combine dual precision modules into one vertically coherent acoustic structure.

    This architecture ensures:

    • Seamless frequency integration

    • Precise phase alignment

    • Controlled dispersion

    • Natural tonal continuity from bass foundation to upper harmonics

Unlike conventional floorstanders that rely on stacked drivers within a single enclosure, the VC architecture minimizes cabinet-induced coloration and preserves transient speed throughout the full range.

The result is a soundstage that is expansive, stable, and holographically focused.

    Refined Micro-Texture and Musical Density

The MK2 revision introduces newly engineered woofer and tweeter systems that dramatically enhance sonic refinement.

The most significant advancement lies in the texture of sound itself:

    • Micro-dynamics are more articulate

    • Tonal surfaces feel more tactile and layered

    • Transients are cleaner yet more organic

    • Background silence appears deeper and more resolved

Music is no longer simply reproduced — it is sculpted with finer particulate precision.

    Extended High-Frequency Transparency — 35 kHz

The newly developed black-diaphragm AMT tweeter extends usable response from 23 kHz to 35 kHz.

    This expanded extension enhances:

    • Harmonic openness

    • Air and spatial depth

    • Cymbal decay realism

    • Vocal breath detail

    • Upper-octave smoothness without glare

The MK2 achieves a level of clarity and extension approaching that associated with diamond or beryllium tweeters, while maintaining the speed and efficiency advantages of AMT technology.

Controlled Bass Foundation — 38 Hz

The integrated low-frequency system has been re-optimized for:

    • Deeper extension to 38 Hz

    • Improved impedance stability

    • Greater transient coherence

    • Tighter bass articulation

The MK2 presents bass not as exaggerated weight, but as controlled authority — maintaining clarity even in complex orchestral or dynamic passages.

    Electrical and Acoustic Stability

With a nominal 4-ohm load and 90 dB sensitivity, the MK2 offers improved amplifier friendliness compared to the previous version.

Impedance behavior has been refined to ensure smoother load characteristics across the crossover regions, resulting in more consistent dynamic control.

    The MK2 Evolution

    The MK2 is not a re-voiced speaker.
It is a more refined, more linear, and more transparent expression of the original design philosophy.

Where the original emphasized speed and clarity,
the MK2 adds sophistication — elevating resolution, harmonic density, and spatial realism.

VC Two – Bass and Harmonic Expansion

The VC Two module serves as both a bass extension and a harmonic super tweeter converter, unlocking new layers of musical realism.

    • Harmonic Tweeter Conversion:
The integrated beryllium super tweeter extends the high frequency response beyond 40 kHz, enhancing spatial imaging, airiness, and the final shimmering edges of tones.
This upper harmonic range creates a holographic stage and reveals micro-details that make the listening experience lifelike and immersive.

    • Deep Bass Foundation:
Equipped with a precisely tuned 8-inch woofer, VC Two extends the system’s reach to 20 Hz, reproducing bass with both depth and definition.
The woofer is engineered with the substance of a 10-inch driver, avoiding the muddiness common in smaller enclosures while maintaining agility in smaller rooms.

    • Flexible Tuning:
Listeners can choose between 3.5-way and 4-way modes, tailoring the tonal balance to musical genre or room acoustics — from energetic, full-bodied rock to refined classical textures

    Crafted for the Listener

Each PlatiMon VC Speaker is precision-built in Daegu, South Korea, using aluminum-panel acoustic architecture and ball-bearing decoupling between the upper and lower modules to minimize vibration and ensure sonic purity.
The result is a balanced yet emotional presentation that captures the beauty of every recording.
